220/110 kV Calafat Station

Transelectrica's 220/110 kV Calafat Station, vital for the southern network, directly connects all consumers, local grids, and multiple interconnections.

The 220/110 kV Calafat Station, owned by CN Transelectrica S.A., is an important substation for the electricity transmission network in southern Romania, connecting consumers, local networks, and interconnections.

The modernization works, with the ultimate goal of increasing the safety and reliability of the grid at the 110/220 kV voltage level, include:

  • partial dismantling and demolition of old equipment
  • installation of new primary equipment at the 110 kV and 220 kV level
  • modernization of secondary equipment (SCPPA) and SCADA systems
  • integration of the new subsystems into the existing infrastructure

Energo Line Equipment’s participation in this project through an equipment and services supply contract with the general contractor S.C. Electromontaj Carpati S.A. Sibiu:

  • Supply and installation of 110 kV OHVT-145F type terminations – 18 pieces
  • Supply and installation of 110 kV PHVX-145-W type terminations – 12 pieces
  • Supply and installation of 220 kV PHVX-245-W type terminations – 6 pieces
  • Supply and installation of 220 kV OHVT-245CW type terminations – 6 pieces
